For almost two weeks now, tens of thousands of people have been on the streets across Romania, protesting against their government and demanding its resignation. The ruling Social Democrats only returned to power in January, with a large majority. They’ve already accepted protestors’ requests to not weaken anti-corruption laws, and survived a vote of no confidence in Parliament, but they’re still under pressure from the people. Nick Thorpe was at Sunday’s protest in Bucharest.
