Can women work and bring up a happy family? A recent Pew survey found that 60 percent of Americans believe children are better off when a parent is at home, and 37 percent of people believe it’s bad that mothers of young children go to work. Here we are with the judgement and the Mummy guilt again – maybe that’s what’s holding us back – our fear of how others see us!

Psychologists have shown that the fear of how others see us, and how they judge us, can over time begin to shape our own beliefs about ourselves, and this eventually stops us from achieving our full potential. When did things become so serious that you can’t make the slightest mistake without feeling like a failure?
